| This UK thrash band released an album in the late 80s called 'Hell House' and I'll be damned if this isn't one of the most catchy, entertaining and musically talented albums from the era. But sadly also, one of the least known. I never hear this band mentioned, ever. The music is like Iron Maiden on speed, lots of catchy, memorable guitar riffs and solos and the vocals are clean, melodic and really punky. Thrash is my favorite sub-genre of metal but unfortunately the era was saturated with too many faceless bands that sounded similar and Holosade are definitely unique. Highly recommended. |

| I've listened to it in the past, but I can't really remember how it sounded like - I wasn't that impressed after 1st hearing, though! I'll give it another try soon! | |

| Definitely give 'em another go. I was jamming to the album last night and I honestly think it's one of the most representative of the time. Awesome vocals, great musicianship and production, it has everything you could possibly want in this type of music. Too bad they pretty much vanished after their lone album. |

ack Hmm, I'm not sure. But if you follow this link http://vibrationsofdoom.com/test/Holosade.html you can at least listen to the entire album for free, albeit in poor sound quality. |

I don't know, but the dude who runs the site does make mp3 CDs of everything listed there. I've actually had him make me some stuff and the sound quality is superb (like a normal CD), not at all like what you hear from the site. It's a great way to get your hands on some of these long lost treasures for a reasonable price. |

| It must be the programs he uses on the site that makes the sound on the albums there sound awful. | |

| Poor qulity of songs = small size in MBs. Plus I guess the whole thing is just to get the initial touch of the music, because nearly everything what's up on that site is OOP and expensive. | |

I just ordered Hell House on cd. Re-resurrecting a very old thread. I just recently "discovered" Holosade, thanks to their random inclusion on the Many Faces of Judas Priest 3-CD tribute compilation I picked up a month or two ago. (They don't have any real connection to Judas Priest that I'm aware of, but apparently they qualified for the compilation on the 3rd disc, "Defenders of the British Metal," merely because they're also from England, haha.) I vaguely remember hearing their name back in the day but never actually heard them, I must have read a review or seen an ad for their album in a fanzine or something. Anyway... there are two Holosade cuts on that comp ("Welcome to the Hell House" and "Madam Guillotine") and they both sound pretty bitchin', I'm gonna have to investigate more of their material. Apparently the Hell House album was reissued recently by Dissonance Productions (I assume that's the version you have, Gilbert?), and they also released a new studio album (their first since the '80s) just a couple of years ago. Who knew? Moral of the story: don't ignore those budget price compilation CDs, you never know what you'll find on them. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| My copy is a 2015 Divebomb Records reissue with bonus tracks, namely:
Neat Records Demo 1987 BBC radio 1 rock show session 1988
And i totally agree about compilation cds containing hidden treasures.
I have a lot of those in my collection. | |

| Divebomb Recs.' reissue of Hell House was dirt cheap as part of their "Epic Summer Sale" this week so I just ordered it. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
