| Who knows this traditional thrash band? What can you tell me about 'em? I picked up "Survival of the Fastest" and there is little in the way of liner notes. The recording sounds like it might have been done in the early 1990's or late 80's. However, the copyright date is 2006. Is this a reissue of old material, or is this a newer band doing an older style like Mercyless Death? | |

| I just looked 'em up on Metal-Arhives. They are indeed a new band doing an old style. I'm just surprised by the recording quality. It just sounds like an old recording. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| No they are current band. Cheryl (The Wirches Brew Record owner) announced recently they have the follow up already recorded, so it should be released soon.
Personally I like the music very much, but the vocals are an acquired choice and ruined it for me.

| What number is your copy Ult ? only 1100 were made (I've two).
The vocals was the one thing that I didn't like either although Sideshow has been raving about them since he got a copy.
You guys should check out the band Pitiful Reign if you are after Thrash Metal |

| I've heard only one Gama Bomb song some time ago and it was pretty cool!
Have that Pitiful Reign CD (Toxic Choke, slimcase version), and it's very promising thrash, although it sounds like a demo - both by production and band's ideas, still much place for improvements! However, some girl from England sent me some videos of their new material and it's way better than the debut! Sorta like Acid Reign maybe.

Sideshow is the one who convinced me to give 'em a shot. I like odd vocal performances. What do you think of 'em bro? Hope I didn't convice you to pick up something you thought sucked! I totally love that disc! Complete old school thrash / speed worship. I think the vocals are perfect for their style. _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

| I recently purchased their 2nd cd, Citizen Brain and I love it. Found it used at FYE. I still need to pick up Survival of the Fastest. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. I almost put that in my tops list of '08, but since I only purchased it a little over a month ago, I wanted to live with it before I said it was one of the best. Rest assured, if we do a list of "Top Albums of 2008, But You Didn't Purchase Until Early 2009 Because You're Too Cheap To Pay Full Price For A New Release and Waited Till It Turned Up Used", Citizen Brain would be right up there. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Their pretty good in my opinion, I think Municipal waste is better but the whole new wave of thrash scene is awesome. Too bad I have to catch up with alot of the oldschool thrash bands, I think thats why I dont look forward to up and coming thrash as much as some of you older guys. | |
