Question About the Genesis 1976-1982 Boxset

I've read some reviews online saying the remastered albums suck. Some say that the sound is too compressed and are practically unlistenable at loud levels; however, it seems that the complaints are only aimed at the SACD boxset, not the regular CD boxset. Does anyone have the 76-82 CD boxset, and do you have any complaints about the sound quality?

I got all the Genesis Box Set and I have to say that I was very happy with how they sound. I read those reviews as well but I think they are nuts. I never owned the originals and maybe if I did I would notice a difference but to me these sound great. If you can find them cheap enough id say grab them. I got the first two really cheap on amazon I think like $70. The newer one I ended up buying regular price.

I have the remastered Genesis CDs and both the box sets and I've never really noticed a problem with the sound. Of course, I'm not sure I ever "crank" Genesis like I would Metallica or something of that nature.
