| I've listened to "Creeping Death" by Metallica (duh) for the past 2 hours, and I'll have to listen to it for at least 12 hours tomorrow. It's for a school project.

| I've been on a 'Yes' kick recently. If not listening to 'Yes' I've been listening to Ayreon's Timeline. It all started after I watched the Symphonic DVD. | |

So, what is this class project you're working on? We are seeing if different file types (mp3, WAV, AIFF & ACC) drain the iPod battery at different rates. We are using the same iPod, same song (ripped in four different file types), same volume level ,and we are see what file allows for the longest playback.

Volume level has more of an effect than file type, but I'll be curious to see what you find out. |

Well so far we've found that at max volume, mp3 and ACC last up to five times longer than WAV and AIFF.
