| Just finished listening to Kelly Osbourne's Shut Up, and while I like alot of power pop bands (such as The Undertones, early Nick Lowe, Cheap Trick, and even the Gin Blossoms) this album just sucks, I know I should not be shocked but if your dad is Ozzy Osbourne, you would think their would be some degree of quality control. I avoided buying the album for years despite the fact I was curious. The album lived up to my worst fears, bad songwriting, the vocals were laughable, and the lyrics were even worse. With pedigree like Kelly's I honestly expected better, and yes I did because she is the daughter of Ozzy, but I should have known better. Also the album ends with a hidden track of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach, very cute wink wink joke for what I suppose they mistakenly felt was a built in audience due to the Osbourne's television success. | |

When that album first came out, I was in a CD store while they were playing Kelly's album over the store sound system. When they got to the "Papa Don't Preach" track I laughed till I damn near pee'd myself. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
