| For some reason the song Biko by Peter Gabriel makes me take notice and grabs me emotionally. Probably because of the spare sound and the mourning type of tune used. I had to look up who the heck Biko even was but that is a great song and a real tribute to the man. Any of you ever experience that? |

| Joey Ramone's version of "What a Wonderful World". Beautiful song in it's original form, made even more poignant when sung by a man dying of cancer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKJHWzicN_4 _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| In Memory by Black Sabbath, a song written in tribute to Iommi's father, reminds me of my own feelings when it comes to my father, who passed away last year: It Still Haunts Me an Empty Space in History | |

| Ok - seriously. Most King's X - but especially, and ever single damn time, their live at Woodstock version of Over My Head. I mean, I have seen them do it live 15 times [each time completely different from the last], but that version that is on Greatest Hits still does me in. Being a dad to a wonderful daughter [she's almost 20 now, but that makes no difference], it is a very personal song to me. |

I can 2x your statement Saxon, especially when he talks about loving your kids and being parent myself I find his rap moving, and it is very emotional performance.

I'm not a big Ramone's fan but that was really cool. And I agree about Over My Head, a great song all around. |

| Don't You Cry-Kamelot I lost my dad 20 years ago and knowing this was written in memory of Thomas Youngblood's father makes it poignant to me.
When the Eagle Cries - Iced Earth This American gets particularly moved when this song comes around on the iPod.
I am mostly a sentimental wreck, so there are many more. The Christmas carol Silent Night can move me to tears if it hits me the right way. Again, a memory of my dad sometimes surfaces to that song.

| There's quite alot, but one I just listened to reminded me...
Thin Lizzy - Spirit Slips Away (from Fighting)
When the spirit slips away Theres nothing you can do, theres nothing you can say May the angels be watching over you When your spirit slips away
When the darkness starts to fall Youre on your own and your backs against the wall May the angels bring their flame to you When your spirit slips away
And when the music that makes you blue Unfolds its secrets, the mysteries are told to you May the angels sing rejoice to you That fateful day when your spirit slips away |
