Heading home, but this band just came on so I figured I'd drop a thread on them. I imagine if anyone digs this band, it'll be rattpoison or Shiney. But who knows!
One of my favorite bands growing up. And for that time, they were waaaaaaay out there for me. I was fairly close-minded at the time, only really listening to the standard mainstream 80s rock bands. I found Moons Of Jupiter in a pawn shop way back in the day, and for whatever reason, I bought and loved it. I've been a big fan ever since. Apparently these guys were pretty big around Boston back in the 80s.
I think they're brilliant.

That's some good stuff......again one of those "Heartbreakers N' Hay Bails" type bands we talked about in the 80's Roots Rock thread.

When I was in college one of the big events was this lip sync contest. I never quite understood the whole deal. But one year some guys did Scruffy The Cat's "You Dirty Rat" as a send up of that PSA that was popular at the time about the guy being a rat for trying to sleep around. The catchiness of the song just got everyone really into it which was strange for something people weren't familiar with. They came close to winning the thing just off the song. There was then a run to find out who sang it and where could you get the Boom Boom Boom Bingo EP.

Heh. Nice.
Sadly I only own Moons Of Jupiter. Their other stuff is a bit expensive around here these days.
