| It depends on the band. I've never been a devoted fan of The Grateful Dead, although I enjoy their more psychedelic leaning tunes like Dark Star. From that era I would choose The Allman Brothers as my favorites.
Most of the current jam bands I like are closer to the funk variety: The Greyboy All Stars, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, etc. |

| If I had a car, I'd be one of those guys who follow Phish around and go to all their shows. | |

| My favorite period of Grateful Dead is 69' to 72'. Lots of great stuff going on. I too prefer The Allman Brothers Band. Today my tastes are in the area of Gov't Mule, Derek Trucks Band, and perhaps Soul Stew Revival. Phish, Widespread Panic, and other newer jam bands have talent as musicians but the music doesn't do much for me. | |

| Never was a fan of the Grateful Dead but I think Jerry Garcia was an interesting guitartist. | |

not everyone does it was background music to much of my early youth and I tagged along with older siblings to alot of shows. I prefer the ABB too. | |

| Not a fan of the Dead either, but I do dig a few of there songs like I Need A Miracle. Is Garcia singing on that track as it sounds like someone else? | |
