| A very good 2009 to all,
JOP's been very busy since returning from the fall 2008 US tour with CircleIICircle/Manticora and thought we would spell it all out for you as 2009 kicks into high gear.
First, we would like to announce official endorsements from our great partners at Ddrum (Christopher Kinder), and Charvel Guitars (Tom McDyne). Locking into partnerships with these high quality manufacturers helps us promote the music and the instruments that allow us to deliver the best performances possible. We sincerely appreciate their support and recognition of our desire to grow their brands and ours...thanks!
On the music front: JOP is deep into pre-production for our 4th release due out later this year. 13 songs are on the table with another 6 still in their infancy. Expect us to deliver another 60+ minutes. We are determined to make this record heavier and more diverse than the previous3 cd's. We have done quite a bit of experimenting over the past 2 albums, but there is a real desire to push our performances and Oliva's voice harder than ever. Recording will begin at Morrisound Studio's-Tampa in late March.
Touring news: JOP is so far confirmed for (5) European festivals (more to follow) as well as dates in South America. Festival appearances, SA dates and Euro-acoustic shows will be announced in the coming weeks. We will hit the US/Europe again in the fall of 2009 in support of our next release and we are in negotiations to film a live DVD for an early 2010 release. The DVD will feature not only JOP material, but also a healthy onslaught of SAVATAGE classics. -----------------------------------------------------------------JOP is confirmed for this years SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL June 3-7 in Sölvesborg, Sweden Current festival appearances are: ROCK HARD FESTIVAL: Gelsenkirchen, Germany: May 29-31 SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL -June 3-7 in Sölvesborg, Sweden QUEENS OF METAL- Kleinwenkheim, Germany June 18-20 2 more festivals have been confirmed and will be announced in early February! | |

| As far as the lost Criss Oliva music...we are definately going to be auditioning more of those casettes for great idea's. Since there is a conscious effort in creating a heavier record, it only makes sense to continuing digging through those hidden treasures in hopes of finding the mother-pearl....and were quite sure we will find a few! The DVD will hopefully see the light of day as it has been in the planning stages for a while. But we decided that it would be best to get another record under our belts and allow us the best possible options when picking a JOP/Savatage setlist that people will dig. We are seriously contemplating a 2 night recording with some different songs each set. Nothing wrong with having as much material as possible to choose from....and we are certainly looking forward to making this a very grand presentation with a firm intent on giving Criss Oliva the tribute he is surely due! Cheers and thanks one and all! \m/ | |

| This DVD sound awesome I didn't know that the band still used those tapes. As far as I know the band has been using them for a while, I assume there are plenty of samples out there. | |

| Awesome news. While I am miffed that I wasn't able to see JOP and CIIC live, Global Warning was my #3 album of the year last year. Looking forward to another platter and a DVD. | |

| Thanks to all! Festival confirmations are starting to flow in. Club metal/acoustic shows will be added in the coming weeks now that the final festival schedule is shaping up. We expect more festival shows to be announced soon and then the club shows will be added to fill the off days...to many off days are for the weak! We could spend most of the summer touring Europe and beyond, but we will start recording April 1 and we will need to return home to finish the record on time for a mid-October release and the Live DVD/Tour to follow in November. We sincerely appreciate the support. And we will do our very best.... \m/ DateVenue 5.15.09 | Bourbon Street Nightclub | 5.30 6.03.09 | Rock Hard Festival- Glesenkirchen, Germany SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL | 6.18.09 | Queens of Metal Festival | 6.25.09 | Bang Your Head Warm-Up Show | 6.26.09 | Tuska Open Air Festival- Kaisaniemi, Helsinki- Finland | 6.27.09 | Graspop Metal Meeting |

| Good news! I'll own that DVD. Sorry you guys didn't get out west. I had contacted the promoter about getting a date here, and he said he would contact me if the east coast dates made some cash. I'm guessing that you guys did not do that well, because I never heard from him. | |
