When burning a CD should you normalize the volume? why or why not?

What does cross fading do when listening? Does it help?

If you're making a mix, Normalizing is good because it puts all the songs at the same volume...on a single CD Normalizing is not necessary...

Cross-fading fades out one song and fades in the next at the same time, usually a couple seconds before the first song acutally ends...I don't recomend it...it annoys me to death....
