This has bothered me for years....

Can someone tell me what the hell this is on the cover of Pink Floyd's "Meddle" album?

They look like crop circles to me.

It's supposed to look like an ear underwater.

"The band's associate Storm Thorgerson originally suggested a close-up shot of a baboon's anus for the album photograph. The band informed him via an inter-continental telephone call while on tour in Japan that they would rather have "an ear underwater", ^[1] which was used as the basis for the final design (with major colour differences on the original U.S. and Canadian issues of the album)."

I always thought it was a bunch of rocks in a pool

I always thought it was a camel fetus.

Hmm interesting, I never saw it that way before.

It looks like a sandy pool of water... Or a camel fetus.

You know what's bothered me for years? Painful rectal itch. Not my own, mind you, just that it exists. Bothers me like you wouldn't believe. All the creams, potions, and suppositories in the world and yet millions suffer from it. Think of all the ruined underwear it's caused.

And yea, I'd guess that it's some sort of fetus or something on that cover. Maybe a turtle.

It looked like a turtle's head peeking out of its shell to me too.

You know, I never really thought about it. It always reminded me of a pond, or aquarium. But, now that I look at it closely, it kinda looks like a girl's crotch.

It's an ear close up. It was originally suppose to be the close up of a baboon's anus.

It's the shadow of a camel fetus over a close up of an ear!
