Thought there was a thread already but i guess i was wrong. I'm a huge fan of this band lead by one of my favorite vocalists in rock Chris Volz. Still waiting on an update to a 3rd album. Any fans here?

I started a thread on them ages ago. No one cared. Haha.
Anyway, I'm a huge fan. Chris's melodies are awesome.

Oh, I didn't even check that. None of those songs are known to me, even from the early demos. They sound good; demos, obviously, but really good. I assume they're new demos from the next album, but I don't know...

I just got done listening to there newest independently released album Homegrown Studio Sessions and I must say this album was a huge let down. First off lets put aside the fact that they released this with there own money and in there own recording studio. This album lacks the songwriting I am used to from Chris Volz and it lacks any sort of egde this band had. I hope with a little bit more support from a record company, these guys can get back to where I know they can be.
There are some killer tracks on this album but the production quality brings everything down to where it sounds like it was recorded from a karaoke machine.
Killer tracks: Voices, Somebody's Victim, and Walls

I'm familiar with their first album. The tracks posted sound horrible...

Yup. I was totally unmoved by this release. It's not even as good as their indie releases, and those weren't that great. Not sure what happened with this one, but it's not very good.
Did anyone order it? I had sent an e-mail requesting a Paypal request for payment, but though the guy said he was sending it, I never received anything. I'm assuming it's a CDR anyway.

you can get the release from Digstation but Im not sure its worth picking up. I still have high hopes for these guys and will support anything Volzs sings on.

Is Digstation a digital place? I already have a download. I got it here:

You'd probably dig that site. They put up a lot of rare 90s nu-metal and stuff.

I remember their second album getting bad reviews too. It was said to be all over the place and unfocused.

are we talking Endangered Species? If so that album IMO has more staying power then there debut. Songs like Payback, My Letter, Best I Am, and Whole are all amazing songs but the others are just good. On ES we have an album with a mixture of amazing to great songs with a few good ones.

Never mind my last post. I thought I was in the Cynic thread for some reason.
As for Flaw's second major label album, Endangered Species, I love it. I think Through The Eyes is a better album overall, though, mainly because most of those songs had been around in various forms for years and the band was able to perfect them over time. But Endangered Species is in no way "all over the place and unfocused."

That's what some reviews said at the time it came out.
