What are some VHS concert/videos that you would like to see upgraded to DVD that haven't already been put on DVD.

Frehley's Comet - Live + 4 (Altantic) 1988
Aerosmith - Video Scrapbook (CBS/FOX) 1987
Aerosmith - Texxas Jam '78 (Columbia) 1989
Ted Nugent - New Year's Eve Whiplash Bash (Atlantic) 1988
Stryper - Live in Japan (Enigma) 1985
Stryper - In the Beginning (Enigma) 1986

I have a bootleg VHS of an Overkill show I was at in 1994 that I would love to have transferred to DVD. You can see me pop up in the crowd every so often during the show, and at one point I lean up against the stage and wipe the sweat from my head like "Phew!" Laughing

I've often thought about bringing it to whoever does such tape-to-DVD transfers but I haven't gotten around to it yet, I wonder if copyright might be an issue.

If you are just doing a copy for yourself of an item you already purchased I wouldn't worry about it. It is just a case of backing up your data to a more durable format. You can do this yourself with a VCR and a DVD burner that you can purchase from Target for around $80. I have done this in the past with some of my old VHS tapes until my DVD burner crapped out. The quality is no better than it was on the tape so it is not like you get high quality video but it is nice to have some of this in a more current viewing format.

Thanks for the tips. I pass a photo developing place on my way to work that does VHS-to-DVD transfers and I should probably give them a call to find out how much it would cost. We've been meaning to upgrade our wedding videos as well, so if we do that I'll just add the Overkill video to the heap. (and I'll make sure that he puts the Overkill show on a separate DVD, haha!)

By the way, as far as commercially-released music videos that I'd like to see on DVD... they have released the LIFESTYLES OF THE RAMONES video on DVD but it's only available as part of the WEIRD TALES OF THE RAMONES box set... it would be nice to see it released separately cuz I already have most, if not all, of the other music in that box...

Two that I really want:

Solitude Aeturnus - Days of Doom
Mucky Pup - Live at the Whiskey

Both were VHS releases put out by the band, DIY style.

2nd that Crossroads request and add Hear N Aid, Decline Of Western Civilization The Metal Years, Tigertailz Berzerk 1990, David Lee Roth videos from CFTH and EEAS.

The Return Of Spinal Tap is a must as well....

I'd love to see Hanoi Rocks - All Those Wasted Years Live At The Marquee released on DVD, they already released the Nottingham Tapes recently but NT is vastly inferior to All Those Wasted Years.

Also the Beasts Of Bourbon - From The Belly Of The Beasts needs a rerelease, that thing goes for upwards of $50-60 on ebay....and it's a damn VHS.

This is where I got my Aerosmith Texxas Jam DVD. The guy does pretty good work and is reasonably priced.

I have a copy of The Strange Case that a buddy made me. I can make you a copy if you want, or I'm sure his version is good quality stuff.

Good call. Does anyone know if they have done the Queensryche: Live in Japan vhs yet? It's nice to have the concert remastered on the re release of the EP, but I would love to have that one on DVD. Peace.
