I enjoy browsing CD Baby's 5 dollar section, you can find some good stuff in there. Both of Ultimatum's remasters, Symphonic Extremities, and Mechanics of Perilous times are both in there.

NOTE: You need 3 of the $5 discs in your cart to get them to show up for $5.

Has anyone else found any good $5 finds?

We've discussed it in that thread. Lots of good CDs listed, if you're interested in spending some cash. I currently have about 20 $5 CDs sitting in my cart. Haha.

The search function sucks. Searching for Cd baby or cdbaby won't get you that thread.

Nope. It's the apostrophe that screws it up. The search won't turn up partial results (i.e. baby from baby's) and it won't recognize things like apostrophes and dashes and underscores. It's crap.

I learned that long ago, so I saved the thread as a Watched Topic.

Core Device has to be one of the best cds I've bought and only gave 5 bucks for it.

I really enjoy that side winder cd as well. It has a lot of elements of helloween and gamma ray in it.. for $5 its a steal...

I reviewed that album in like 2004 or 2005. The singer's girlfriend posted at Devin Townsend's forum, I think. Anyway, I had just randomly come across the album a while after it was released and it blew me away. I thought it was killer. I blew my load a bit and gave it 10/10. Haha. I've downgraded it a bit since then because I know it's a stupid score, but it's close.

Anyway, after I reviewed it the band got a ton of orders for the CD and it confused them. So they started asking those who'd ordered it how they heard about them. And it was my review. I always thought that was cool. It proved that reviews still help, but even moreso when the music is killer.

Wish they'd get something new out.

My fave $5 find on CDBaby thus far has been Steel Prophet's BEWARE -- it's a 2-CD set (one disc is the "BEWARE" album and the 2nd is a collection of rare/demo stuff called "EYES OF THE PROPHET: VISIONS PAST") and it's killer. Especially for five bucks! It's a steal. Get it!!

Yeah thats one I picked up on the $5 sale too.Its still sitting in my" stack of cds I need to listen to."
