Any other fans of these guys here? One of my favorite DM bands, they were one of the first for me and there first two albums To The Gory End and Death Shall Rise are two of my absolute all time favorites. And Death Shall Rise has some AWESOME James Murphy leads. Too bad they ended the way they did though.

I love them. Its sad that I have not been able to get them on CD. I have them in old and battered vinyl.

The only Cancer album I have heard was " Death Shall Rise' which I used to have on cassette, I am fan of James Murphy and I am also a fan of Death, who James Murphy played for. After "Death Shall Rise" I don't know what became of Cancer since I followed James Murphy go onto Testament, but " Death Shall Rise' is great cd if you are into early death metal, James Murphy is another overlooked guitartist.

love em. i prefer their earlier death metal material over the thrash direction they later took. but it was all good. well, scratch that. Black Faith sucked balls.

I have Death Shall Rise on CD. It's not too bad. Nothing mind-blowing, but I love the cover art.

To The Gory End and Death Shall Rise are equal too me, both amazing albums.
Sins Of Mankind is where they started to use more thrashy elements, but I still like it alot.
Black Faith IS their worst album, you can tell they were forced into it, and the whole album, it sounds like they WANT to kick some ass, but they never break out.

I love old DM but have always considered this band to be very average. If itwasnt for James Murphy being employed to play for them they wouldn't have received any publicity at all.
Sorry to any fans but to me they define 'workman like' Death Metal.

I had Death Shall Rise once and i liked it. I remember Glenn Benton did backing vocals on a song.

I've got Death Shall Rise and The Sins Of Mankind. Death Shall Rise is great! Actually scored it for $0.25 out of a used bin a few years back.
Still haven't managed to get To The Gory End. I've only heard it a time or two, but remember liking what I heard a lot.

I bought To the Gory End online last night.
I also discussed The Sins of Mankind in a video on my YouTube channel once.
