| On March 26, 2008, several news outlets reported that Dr Pepper will offer a free can of soda to everyone in America - except the band's former guitarists Slash and Buckethead - if the band releases Chinese Democracy this year.[30] In a posting on Guns N' Roses' official site, Rose responded, "We are surprised and very happy to have the support of Dr Pepper with our album 'Chinese Democracy,' as for us, this came totally out of the blue. If there is any involvement with this promotion by our record company or others, we are unaware of such at this time. And as some of Buckethead's performances are on our album, I'll share my Dr Pepper with him."

| I am curious I maybe the lone Guns N Roses fan on this thread, and I do live in Florida the trailer park capital of the world. I am sure Axl will delay the album and spend another trillion dollars on re-recording the drum tracks. | |

I am sure Axl will delay the album and spend another trillion dollars on re-recording the drum tracks. Appetite did sound pretty fresh when it first came out, but I never quite understood how people seemed to think they were the second coming. They put out one really good album, an EP with some okay covers on it...then the corporate machine took over and Axl's head became larger than the state of Texas and he's been a nutjob ever since. If the rest of band got back together WITHOUT Axl I might be interested. I still remember seeing that interview with James Hetfield about that co-headlining tour when he referred to Axl's "50 foot ego ramp" that had to be installed before GNR's set. |

Yep. Slash could always put the Snakepit back together as well. I'd buy that. | |
