Love 'em. If I remember correctly some of the members were previously in the band The Crumbsuckers. Anyway, funny AND very talented band. You really only need the first album, but it's a classic.
Their second album does contain one of my favorite tracks though...Grandma's House Of Babes.
Loved, loved, LOVED this band!! Got to see'em live in New York in early 92 with Ugly Kid Joe opening for them. I even stage dived (dove?) during "Earache My Eye" and "Don't Call Me Dude."
My fave disc is HERE COMES TROUBLE but all of their stuff was fun. I miss them, they should've been huge.

I noticed they had a reunion last year.
Yea, I heard about that... it was just one or two shows around New York, though, no plans for a new album or anything... and besides, I found out about it after the shows were over

What did their last album (Mundus Intellectualis) sound like?
Pretty much in the same vein as the other two. It's more of an EP, though, cuz it's only 7 or 8 tracks. One of which was a re-worked version of "Down With The Ship"

Way Way Way better than Ludichrist, here comes trouble is such a funny album..I remember the first time hearing it and totally not knowing what to think. Now I cant help but laugh.
"They looked like jerry's kids...except older......ON MY SHOULDER".
"If I were president, there'd be a Johnson Day And I'd make everybody get down on their knees and pray for.... MISTER JOHNSON! AND! Mister Johnson and the Juice Crew!"
"So darn cute a big head and one eye The girls can't keep their hands off of him and neither can I!"

Reading this thread makes me want to break out Here Comes Trouble and give it some spins this weekend. 'Down with the Ship' is brilliant.

I love "Down With The Ship." When I was in college there was a guy on my dorm floor who would always throw these major ragin' alcohol parties, I used to bring that Scatterbrain tape with me, cued up to "Ship," then I'd wait till everybody was sufficiently inebriated and throw it in his stereo ... eventually someone would finally go "What the f**k IS this?"

The singer looks like a cross between 80's Ozzy and Phil Rind from Sacred Reich.

I picked up this album based on Stender talking about it all the time in various threads, I haven't put much listening into it yet but we're driving to China Town today, so it'll be on most of the time.
Bumpin' this one up to find out what Stend-y thought of the SCAMBOOGERY and RETURN OF THE DUDES EP I hooked him up with earlier this week...
Is (return of the dudes) a new release?
Unfortunately, no... just a weird little EP they released in Australia (?) in between HERE COMES TROUBLE and SCAMBOOGERY... it's got a couple of songs from TROUBLE on it and a couple of live tracks...

Dude scamboogery gave me the same reaction as the first hearing of here comes trouble and which was an outloud expression of....."what IS this sh!t I am listening to?"...haha. I love this band so much. This album has so much goofiness that it is SO hard not to like.
I havent heard return yet Freddy but I will post about it too. Thanks again brother you rule!!!
