You are the thread king! Smile

I really like the song Kick Out The Jams. Of course it's better when Rollins Band does it. Smile

"Your love is like a rambling rose." Rama Lama Fa Fa Fa. Great greasy Detroit protest proto-punk.

I got their Greatest Hits that I break out every so often. Good stuff. By the way, I thought Monster Magnet did a good version of Kick Out the Jams as well.

I don't know if it was ever put out on a regular release, although at this point, it could be a bonus track or something. I think it was on the Heavy Metal II soundtrack. I only have an mp3 of it.

Yea, that's the one. The poster says this...

Quote :
Here is a MC5 cover, which was released on the "Space Lord" CD single.

It was done during the "Powertrip" sessions.

Love the 5 and brother Wayne Kramer is still releasing great records.

Everyone should check out MC5 related bands Gang War, Sonic's Rondezvous Band and New Race.

"Looking At You" is my fav song by them from Back In The USA...a song that was covered brilliantly by the Damned and then again by Hanoi Rocks.

Never heard of the Big F version...have heard BOC's version.

Man every greasy haired kid punk band has covered Kick Out The Jams...it's like the punk rock Train Kept A Rollin'.

Now I'm starting to doubt my sanity. I could have sworn I had a Big F cover of "Kick". scratch
