I literally laughed out loud when I read Ted Nugent because at one point in his career her wore a loincloth.

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen! "Elton John (really gay)", you know what, I love Elton John's music and just because he is a homosexual doesn't mean that I will become one just by listening to his music. Sorry I just really hate this kind of tripe

By the way Elton John must be a horrible person because he is on the list twice.

I was really surprised to see Kansas on that list, considering most of the guys in Kansas were Christians and many of their songs have some spiritual meaning. Not sure what is 'gay' about their music.


What is it with people and calling Ted a pedophile? It was the 70's. If Ted is a pedophile, so is Kiss, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Todd Rundgren, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, etc. 20-something band members sleeping with teen fans wasn't taboo like it is today. Ted has been married to the same woman since the 1980's.

No, no. He's not justified. Don't misunderstand me. It was stupid then and it's stupid now. I agree with you. However, why do people always seem to use Ted Nugent as the example, when it ran the gamut back then?

Why does no one call Gene Simmons a pedophile? He still boasts of how many young girls he slept with in the 70's. He even boasts of a photo collection he has of naked girls and women.

Why didn't anyone arrest the Alice Cooper band for posing with and defiling a naked young teenager girl in the 70's? It was a widely distributed photo and was even printed in some magazines.

Why does no one arrest the Scorpions for distributing child pornography. Their 'Virgin Killer' record cover most certainly is that.

Many bands back in the 70's wrote songs about their teenage conquests. "Jailbait" was a pretty common theme song. Indeed, Nugent even wrote a song called that. "Christeen Sixteen" is another good example.

The 60's and 70's were a different time. Things like that weren't as taboo as they are today. Doesn't make it right. I'm just saying it happened a lot more often and wasn't frowned up by society as a whole, unlike it is today. Right or wrong, rock n roll in the 60's & 70's (and even some 80's) was filled with that sort of nonesense. I don't condone it. I just question why Nugent is always used as the example.

You are correct, I would go ballistic if Ted or anyone else touched my daughter. (I almost lost my mind at a hockey game recently when a teenage punk spouted off to my 13 year old daughter.) I am not defending Ted's actions. Ted was 100% in the wrong, as were the parents of the girl who gave her over to Ted as her legal guardian. (Didn't he eventually marry that girl and have child with her?) Ted admits he had a problem in those days. He has stayed clean since his marriage in the 80's and admits he had a sex problem in the 70's.

I just don't understand why people use Ted as the example. It's not just your one post above. I see it all over the place.

I guess the word 'pedophile' tweaks me. I've always thought of this words as being someone who has been charged with rape against a child, or sexual abuse against a child or something similar. However, I actually just looked up the word and it means,

Child pornography can be any inappropriate, sexual in nature, photos of children, even if they are partially dressed. The Scorpions Virgin Killer photo is purposely sexual in nature and therefore, child pornography. The title of the album alone, with that photo, is pretty tell tale.

Well, I don't know... Did they just steal that pic or did they actually get one and pictured her?!?

I don't know anything about that photo. Have always detested it. Even censored it on my NLTM site.

That list is just so out there. Some of those bands I can understand, like Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Judas Priest. Where does Jay Z, and Motorhead fit in? More people who do not have the facts

I think the band PANSY DIVISION is gay....

RUFUS WAINWRIGHT is gay as well, but a fantastic artist...I love his stuff!
