The Obsessed

Anyone like this band? It had Wino from Saint Vitus on vocals and guitar. Great Doom band!

I picked up Incarnate recently, have listened to it about 40 times & it gets better every time. Also picked up some Hidden Hand. Doom rules!!!!!!!

i like them alot. perhaps more than his ST Vitus stuff.

I loved "The Church Within". Not so much St. Vitus (meh). I have Spirit Caravan's "Jug Fulla Sun" sitting in my "In" basket, waiting to be listened to. I've never heard it yet.

Everything Wino touches is gold. 

My interest in Wino was rekindled around the time the Probot album came out. Since then I've been on a quest to get as much stuff as possible.

Right now The Hidden Hand is my favorite...but that opinion changes daily. I like all his stuff.

Wino's song was my fave on Probot. (except maybe the Jack Black).

I agree also about the obsessed stuff, but if I'm not mistaken The obsessed was Wino's first band before moving out to LA to join St. Vitus. The obsessed studio stuff wasn't released until later though.

He had a version of The Obsessed prior to St. Vitus but they didn't record. He assembled a new group with a different lineup post-St. Vitus and that is The Obsessed that everyone is familiar with.

Agreed. The Obsessed > Vitus w/ Wino, but Vitus w/ Reagers > pretty much everything.

Wino's best groups are Spirit Caravan (currently touring) and The Hidden Hand.

FYI...The Obsessed long out-of-print and hard to find debut album was recently re-issued with a bunch of bonus tracks and such. For me, it's getting the last piece to my Obsessed puzzle.
