| Looked for a thread on UFO and I couldn't find one, I was amazed, I know that UFO have alot of fans on this thread since I have seen their name mentioned a few time. I love this band, Phil Mogg underrated vocalist, Michael Schenker guitar god, their classic 70's albums "Lights Out", "Obseesion". " No Heavy Petting" still get spins. If they had come out just a few later IMO they would have been huge during the 80's but than again they were doing pretty well overseas and made their impact in this country by the number of musicians who cite them as an influence, any fans out there? | |

| I'm a fan. Don't have all their albums, but I do have Wild, Willing & the Innocent, Mechanix, Obsessions, walk on Water, Covenant and a best of. Obsessions is probably my favorite album, but they are all goo. The new albums are very strong as well, Walk on Water especially. Haven't heard anything since Vionnie Moore joined, though. The solo/side projects are great as well. MSG is my favorite there, but Waysted deserves a mention. Great band! | |

| Strangers In The Night is one of the best live album ever IMO. Never was into UFO growing up until I saw a local cover band named Night Rider when I was in college in Virginia. They played "Shoot Shoot" every set. I saw this band a lot and eventually helped them pack up their equipment. One night I asked them if "Shoot Shoot" was an original. The singer laughed and said it was a UFO song. Bought Strangers In The Night on vinyl the next day. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I was lucky enough to see them play their Strangers in the Night set in concert spring 1979, except they opened with "Electric Phase". A great memory. And the supporting act was The Priest, whom I'd never seen before at that point! | |

| UFO are a great band as is MSG. I saw UFO back in 94 with Schenker play in a night club. Fantastic show, they were touring for the Walk On Water disc. I wanted to see them last month when they came close to town but no $$. I hate not having any money, seems the the more I earn the less I have for fun stuff, Go figure. | |

| UFO is a great old band that is still going strong after all these years. I just saw them twice in the last few years they were awesome . Especially this year touring on The Monkey Puzzle. UFO is one my favorite all time hard rock / Metal bands that came out of the 70 's up there with Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath.
My favorites are:
Force It No Heavy Petting Phenomenon and of course the excellent live album : Strangers In The Night
I am also a fan of MSG who I see every chance I get as well. |

| Yeah, I'm bumping this. Deal with it.
Anyway, I just recently got into UFO. I found Phenomenon at FYE and it absolutely rules! Now I just need to know what to get next. If someone could recommend something, that would be great. | |

| They have a compilation called "Headstones" it is a best of and has some of the spin-off bands that came from UFO. A dang good album for someone who is just learning about this band and where they came from and where some of the members went. Not a bad song on the disk. Don't know if it is still in production but I would bet that Amazon or some such would have a copy. | |

| UFO one of the greatest bands of the 70's, you can start with a comp disc entitled cleverly enough " The Essential UFO" also their 70's releases which inspired Kirk Hammet such as "Lights Out" " Obsession" "Strangers in the Night" and of their later day releases from the 80's "Mechanix" and in more current releases you can't go wrong with " Walk on Water" and "You Are Here" which features Guitar master Vinnie Moore and Jason Bonham on drums. | |
