| Found this quote on an allmusic.com review of Nothing to Gain and was amazed. "Vio-Lence didn't so much progress as wait for their singer, the vocally challenged Sean Killian, to catch up to their musical onslaught" anyone agree with this? Vio-Lence is one of my favorite thrash bands and i think Killian's voice is one of their greatest attributes, most metal frontmen aren't good "singers" their voice just fits the music. Why do they say this about Killian and praise Lemmy and Mustaine? |

| Well, Vio-Lence was always part of that shouty thrash, not the Megadeth type stuff with a lot of hook in the vocal melody. I don't really think they can be compared that way. However, I will say I think Killian sounds better than say Don Doty for example. I mean, you hear 'Darkness Descends' and expect such viciousness, and then there is this kind of..lightweight, almost punk feel in the vocals. When you're singing that type of thrash you just need to have a certain voice I think, for it to sound good. | |

| I pretty much made my mind up that All music guide dosnt know what there talking about a while ago. I think Killian is a great vocalist, considering that he is a VOCALIST not a SINGER. | |

| I thought Killian fit in with Vio-lence's overall attitude. The music was fast and violent, and I personally found his performance on Eternal Nightmare to be absolutely RABID! I can see how some don't like him, but I don't agree that he had to "catch up" to the band's sound and style. _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

| The vocals were the main reason I never got into Vio-Lence. The music was great, but OY, those were some of the most irritating vox I'd ever heard!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I've only recently aquired my very 1st Vio-Lence disc, Eternal Nightmare, and the vocals don't bother me one bit. I think they suit the music just fine. | |

| I didn't like his voice when I first heard it, but I got used to his voice after sometime, and like others have said, his voice fits to their music well. | |

| People spend WAY too much time discussing this guy's voice and not enough time talking about all the great riffs and drumming they had. Talk about missing the point. | |

Talk about missing the point. Actually the voice can be very irritating to some even if the music is top notch. I'm not talking about Vio-lence necessarily but then again his voice is a little cartoony. | |
