| I was looking around and found former Living Sacrifice/POD guitarist Jason Truby's website and saw something about a project with Lance Garvin in his news section. Does anyone know anything about this collaboration? Maybe a Living Sacrifice reunion is not far off? http://www.jasontruby.com/ | |

| I've not heard anything about a new project or a LS reunion. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Some quick investigating and it looks like it may be an April Fool's joke. Posted at: www.metalunderground.com/news/details.cfm?newsid=25172 - Quote :
Tom Araya and Dave Lombardo Start Christian Metal Side Project
posted Sunday, April 1, 2007 at 11:09:45 AM by deathbringer. Sources inform us that Slayer frontman Tom Araya and drummer Dave Lombardo have started a yet-named Christian metal side project with ex-Living Sacrifice (and more recently POD) guitarist, Jason Truby. The three have been jamming together since the end of the recent Slayer tour with Unearth and they are presently looking for a second guitarist. Araya, who is Catholic, has commented several times in recent interviews that he and Lombardo don’t necessarily subscribe to the lyrical content of Slayer’s songs. “We’ve been playing this kind of music with dark themes and anti-religious topics for a long time now and I feel like I need something new, something more positive in my life,” explained Araya. Chuckling, he continued, “I feel like I have to do some penance as a good Catholic, you know?” Slayer fans need not worry though – when asked if he is disbanding Slayer, Tom reassured his fanbase: “This new project will not interfere with Slayer any more than me going to church has. It’s just a small side thing at the moment.” When asked to comment on the project, Kerry King had only this to say: “Whatever Tom and Dave need to do to exorcise their demons and keep the Slayer machine moving is ok with me. I wish them the best on their project.” Get more band news and info on: Living Sacrifice, P.O.D., Slayer

Might be. I guess it would depend on the direction they went. If it were to go into a more classic thrash direction, It would be cool. I've not liked much that Garvin and Trubin have done in the last decade. The last few LS CDs have just been boring metalcore IMO.

| Actually Ult, Truby has not been in the band since Reborn. I think your mixing him up with Rocky Gray his replacement. Truby played all the guitars on the first LS record. | |

Yup, you are correct. I was mixing up Truby and Gray. I was lucky enough to see Living Sacrifice on their first tour. They played a couple of new songs that were GREAT thrash songs. I know one was re-written into a death metal song, but the other was never recorded.

| Lombardo does all kinds of projects, but it's unlikely Araya would. since he is the voice of Slayer. _________________ | |
