Picture it. 1987 and Guns N Roses are first shown on MTV. I don't like them. Surprise, huh? Anyway, during Headbanger's Ball I fall asleep and hear this song in my sleep. I was half awake, half asleep and I think it's Guns N Roses due to the high pitched singing. But for some reason I love this particular song unlike that stupid song about dying in a jungle. Rolling Eyes The song in question that I heard was this.....

I have no idea how I got this mixed up with GNR, but I was 13 and half asleep. Needless to say, I have been a freak for KD ever since.

I love both 'Welcome to the Jungle' and 'The Family Ghost'. Not two songs I'd have thought were 'confusable', though.

Cool tune, but I can only take King in small doses. His falsetto grates on my nerves after awhile.

I thought the story was kind of lame. The main character was shallow and self absorbed and seems confused about everything.

True but the setting and overall atmosphere was very dynamic.

I remember getting together with all my friends to watch the premiere of Metallica's One on HBB.

We were all awake though.

Who fell asleep during HBB?

Poser.

Yeah, but I thought the poor characterization lent an air of
authenticity to the story. After all, if your main character is going
to fall asleep during the Headbanger's Ball, you have to portray him as dim-witted and a self absorbed loser, otherwise the reader won't believe the premise.

Oh man, those vocals would make the Vienna Boys Choir jealous.

Sheesh.

I've always avoided this band because of their lyrics. Now I have an even more powerful weapon in my Avoidance Arsenal.

Actually, King Diamond wasnt so much with Satan in his lyrics solo as he was with MF.

But, lyrics have never discouraged me fro mgood music. When I first heard them, thier sound, his voice and al lthe time changes amazed me.

That sound amazes me too.

How does a male with testicles (presumably) sing higher than Tarja Turunen?
