Sister Sin

Man, I remember when Victory Records was all about underground hardcore. They were the premiere hardcore label. At one point, I had every Victory Records release, up to VR65 or so. That's how great the label was. Then something changed. Tony got greedy. Bands started openly complaining that he was ripping them off. The decline started there. A lot of bands like Earth Crisis and Strife jumped ship, and Victory started signing those flavor-of-the-week bands, riding the mainstream wave. They've been doing that for over 10 years now, and I haven't given a crap about the label since.

Now Victory has gone...metal! I know they've been pushing the metalcore thing for a while now, but no band really moved outside of that screamo shadow. Now they're making that leap. They even have ads that are like, "Get Ready For The Metal!!" Haha. Can't say I'm disappointed, though. All of a sudden, I'm looking forward to a Victory Records release...

Metal from Sweden. They've got that sleazy sound, too. Sleaze Roxx reviewed their EP! Haha. Victory Records sucks. But this stuff sounds awesome. I just ordered their EP from close to $20, I'm that into it.

Yeah, no kidding! This sound great to me; reminds me of a more metal Smashed Gladys.

I was thinking the other day whilst listening to EC how much Victory used to kick booty years ago. Glad to see they are attempting to make amends.

that's how i got mine as well, although i paid 18.50 if memory serves me.

It was the only listing on Ebay. Once I won, no results come up when you search for Sister Sin. Looks like I got lucky.

Victory was an amazing label back in the day. Everything they put out, from Warzone to Bloodlet to Guilt, as well as the more well-known artists, was flat out killer! Then it all changed.

I can't believed I scored that disc. My luck is just sooooo not that good.

Just picked up "Switchblade Serenade". Killer cd!!

Heard it this past weekend. Sounded good to me. Especially liked the Motorhead cover.

Great album. I got this one without having ever heard them before and wasn't disappointed. I agree about Victory's decline though. R.I.P. Raybeez
