| First car was a 1991 Ford Crown Victoria. Really nice car, but the tranny blew up. Now I drive a 1997 Mercury Sable wagon. | |

I think I sold it for $900 I ran my T-Bird up over a guardrail and ripped the bottom out of it, sold it for parts for 100 bucks.

| My first vehicle was a '75 Honda CB360. I found a picture that has the same color and everything: Pretty good bike for me, but Cycle world later named it as one of the ten worst bikes of all time. My first car was an '80 Datson 200 SX: Mine was red with a hard top instead of vinyl, but that's pretty close. Lot of memories associated with both of those. | |

| Opel Ascona A from 1974. Very similar to the one in the picture. It didn't have the extra headlights and the yellow was a little more intense. Apart from that this was my first car: | |

i dont think i could even fit in the festiva My second car was another Escort (1989 this time) due to my sister ramming the first into the telephone pole that jumped out into the middle of the street... I now own a dodge dakota (07) and it is by far the nicest truck I have ever owned... Alex _________________

Funny that you mention that. My buddy had an 87 or 89 (it was one year apart from mine) Festiva and - I kid you not and I've got pictures to prove it - his dad was 6'8" and 400+lbs and HE drove that thing around! It was comical and we mocked him, but he fit. I didn't abuse my girl but my friend once had 19 of us crammed into his Festiva as a joke and drove around the block. I added up the weight and I think we out-weighed the car! It was riding so low. He abused that poor thing.

Thats why i am not terribly delighted cars are getting smaller today again... Alex _________________

| Yeah, he had the seat ALL the way back and looked all scrunched. He drove around town, but I doubt any distance.
For me? Being 5'8" has had some advantages!

| My first car was a '70 Ford Falcon. Not the cool older ones but the kind that looked kind of like a Torino and it was baby poop brown. Only $675 though and the guy who owned it had cared for it like it was his baby. Here's a link that is almost exact though this one is cherry. http://www.fordfalcons.com/latemodel/images/70.5_bridges.jpg |

This one here looks pretty similiar to the one I owned, except mine was a 4-door and the interior was a creame color... http://www.hallmotorsllc.com/viewlisting.php?listing_id=50582

| Despite the fact that I have no license, or the sense to drive I own a car. A Nissan D21 Hardbody Truck, circa 1989. (colour tan) A heap o' scrap metal, I bought off my uncle for $600. I'm a mechanic's apprentice so I'm just fixing it up for the time being.
I am fine with riding my Schwinn bicycle, year 1999.

| 1974 BMW 2002tii Fun little car I got from my uncle in CA, all I had to do was pay shipping for it to FL. Bad thing was-- NO A/C!!!! Gave it up when I needed to buy a new(er) car to make my move up to Virginia that could handle the drive there. | |

| When I first got my license my parents thought I should get some experience before getting my own car. We had this Toyota station wagon that was supposed to be for our stores but never got used. I took that to get my experience and ended up driving it for years. It drove like a compact. You could fit everyone in it. The back came all the way down, which was perfect when there were only two. Good times there. Plus I never worried about taking it into cities and leaving it parked somewhere.
After my second year of college I bought a Jeep at an auction on a impulse buy. That thing ran problem free the whole time I had it. No matter what I put it through, sand or snow, it always came through. I loved it and still kind of regret donating it to a senior's ride charity. Didn't realize the sentimental value it had till it was gone. But at least it went to a good cause.

| 1968 Camaro convertable off my ex girlfriends mom for $500.At the time it was just a 11 year old camaro. I sold it for a few K in '96 when my first daughter was due. My goal was to just score another one in 5 years, give or take. The market went through the roof soon after I sold it and I've been priced out. The guy I sold it to sold it last summer for.....$42,000.......I couldn't sleep for a week after I heard that! Just thinking about it makes me want to puke |
