What I prefered to listen to myself would be UFO and Kansas

All the bands mentioned on the list had great lps and songs

The Scorps put out alot of great stuff in the 70's as well

In the seventies I was consumed by all things KISS. My first two albums were KISS Destroyer and Aerosmith Toys In The Attic.

Yep, I bought both albums from my older brother for about a dollar each (my weekly allowance). My brothers didn't like the new direction Kiss had taken on Destroyer. I thought it was awesome.

From that list, KISS, but my favorite band of the 70's would be Foreigner.

Now I know that not all of those are "metal" (but neither is Zep or Alice Cooper IMO).

I love the heavy music of the 70's.
