Grand Magus

Any Grand Magus fans here? Ive seen there cds here and there and never really got to hear what they sound like because I figured it was just death metal or something. I saw an ad for their new cd on blabbermouth so I figured ok let me click on it and see what they sound like and they are actually pretty good so I just ordered all their cds on amazon. Since there on Rise Above Records they are labeled more in the lines of Stoner Rock!

Yea I can hear it in their music but I think they kind of break into other genres too. Looking forward to getting these.

Their early stuff is more stoner rock, there last two albums are more doomy trad metal but with rougher vocals, great stuff. I keep meaning to pick up their albums but they never seem to fall my way. The debut I have but it's pretty ordinary, however I'm not the worlds biggest stoner fan so others may disagree.

I recently got their new album after hearing some good reviews and they are playing the Bloodstock festival so I thought i'd chck them out. I thought the latest album was superb, Iron Will. The first track is brilliant. I also picked up the previous album Wolf's Return and this is an equally excellent album.

I will now make ure they are one of the bands I see at Bloodstock.

Im not a stoner fan either but their newer stuff sounds good. I only heard little pieces but I liked how they sounded and the vocals were good too so I figured why not. I need something new to listen to anyway.
