I'll miss him. he was not only funny, but his anger was often profound as well. He was a very honest person, maybe to a fault. But his humor is what will be remembered.

IMO, you can't be too honest to a fault. Honesty is the only way.

Thanks for the video Trog. And so true! I was a fussy eater as a kid and now I'll eat anything. But my parent got super fussy when they got old. Parents revenge! Ha, ha!

I was just about to post this. I'm SUPER bummed. George has been my favorite stand up comic for many years. I had always wanted to see him perform live but sadly it will now never happen.
R.I.P. George... I shall try to work all seven of the "words you can't say on television" into conversation today in your honor.

It would be really funny if you slipped all seven in at the same time.

This is a damn shame. Carlin was/is a very sigficant influence to me intellectually. His aggressive political commentary was both insightful, hilarious, and shocking. I remember when I was in grade 9 acting class I was always coming up with new ideas for material, and I would listen to hours of his recordings for inspiration. He was/is a genius.
Favourite Carlin joke: the one about missiles being giant penises with which military officials can f*ck other countries

Maybe it would be a good idea if you don't perform his eulogy....
Then again, maybe Carlin would like that

Not a fan of his politics but he was an extremely funny man and perhaps one of the most influential comedians in history. R.I.P Mr. Carlin, here's a 21 laugh salute in your honor:

Farewell, funny man.
His later material came off as more of "I'm a cranky old man and I hate everything", but he had some real classics and was a legend in comedy. He, along with guys like Lenny Bruce & Richard Pryor, helped take comedy into a new direction and away from that old-school, one liner, Henny Youngman-type. I'll miss him dearly.

R.I.P. to a great thinker and comedian! Possibly the most influential comedian, especially of observational humor. The routine that made me laugh hardest as a kid was when he recited, one after the other, all the expressions we have using the word sh*t!
"He don't know sh*t from Shinola! I always wondered how the Shinola people felt about that."
