| Cream was what they named themselves after, the cream of the crop.
Clapton back then was untouchable. Awesome music! |

| Amazing band. They are a cornerstone for metal. The second disc of Wheels of Fire is a masterpiece. | |

| The reunion concert that they show every now and again on PBS is pretty cool. I've watched it about four times now. | |

| They set the bar high for power trios -awesome musicians, just a shame they couldn't get along! The reunion concert a couple of years ago was excellent! | |

I have the cd of that reunion show. Good stuff. I had the dvd (freebie from work) as well, but I only watched it once before I sold it on ebay. Cream was one of those early bands that I listened to when my dad handed over his old record collection to me when I was a kid. I can still see that old 45 of "White Room".

| These guys were awesome, I wish I wouldve been around as a teen back then, I wouldve loved them probably more than any other band. They were the heaviest and most talented band back in '66. | |

| Cream is a great, talented band. Excellent albums/studio work, and slightly better live ( Wheels Of Fire disc 2, Live Cream), what with the jamming. Ordinarily I find excessive jamming and instrumental noodling to be tedious, but Cream can pull it off. I remember reading a story last year about how Eric Clapton was open to reuniting Cream. It seems doubtful now, seeing as there haven't been any recent reports about it, but I'd love to see that. I wasn't a fan when they played Madison Square Garden in '05, so I obviously didn't have the need to beg for ticket money. |

| They were a great band who truly shaped heavy metal today. Clapton (was) amazing. Too bad he went acoustic and basically stopped using his God-given skills. | |

| Pick up Cream Live Vol.ll they were at there peak when they recorded this. Much better then Cream Live Vol.l IMO. Clapton was "God" at the time but check out Bruce's bass playing, Wow! He is pushing Clapton to play his best, Insane bass playing & Ginger was driving the whole band. Agree sutekh Yes they did set the bar high for other trio's. | |

| Cream are great, grew up on them thanks to my Dad. I like Blind Faith even more, who had Clapton and Ginger Baker in their line up. They i guess were post Cream. Also if you like Cream you should check out The Masters Of Reality. Great hard rock band from the last 20 years doing a kinda Doors meets Cream metal. Ginger Baker even drummed on their 2nd album from 1993. Masters Of Reality thread link https://heartofmetal.niceboard.com/heart-of-metal-f1/the-masters-of-reality-t4490.htm | |

You are so right, man. I love Cream, but Clapton's solo stuff is just so...boring!

| What can you say about Cream that has not been said before? Bruce, Baker, and Clapton the first supergroup who could jam on one song for 15-20 minutes at a click without sounding like they were practicing in front of an audience. | |

| I can only HOPE to play as well as Ginger Baker when I'm the age he was on the reunion DVD. There were alot of great drummers from that era (mid 60's till late 60's) and Ginger was one of the few who not only pulled off what they put on vinyl onstage, but surpassed it. Kieth Moon, Mitch Mitchell, and others played welll enough in the studio but were very sloppy live. Ginger was top dog till Bonzo showed up (IMHO) great band...changed music alot | |

| Just watched my DVD on the making of Disreali Gears, a great album and was interesting on how those songs were written, it is especially to see Eric Clapton demonstrate the riffs and sometimes the inspiration for songs on the acoustic guitar. Eric Clapton solo career leaves me cold most of the time, but Cream had such power and muscle that it is almost hard to believe that Eric Clapton ever played like this. Jack Bruce not only is great bassist but one hell of a vocalist. | |
