Please, please no debate on what is or isn't metal : Just take this as an old guy's list and move on. Everybody knows that Zep and Purple are no longer considered metal. Big deal.

Those are my 5 favorite bands too. With Iron Maiden and Megadeth coming in at 6th and 7th.
