Vectom

Anyone familiar with this band? BNR Metal says this about them:

Vectom was one of several lesser-known German metal bands that saw a taste of action in the eighties. Had they come out a few years later they no doubt would have played thrash, but as they were a bit early for that, their style is more speed-metal based, typical for the time.

I'm trying to get a better idea of their sound, especially in the vocals. Are they NWOBHM-ish or early thrash, like Raven? Stormspell, I saw them on your website. I know you might be a bit biased, but are they any good?

Yeah Vectom is pretty sweet. Found out about them not to long ago.

I like what I hear. The vocals are decent enough (no high-pitch shreiks, just gritty enough) and the music is good speedy metal.

I like them, but they are quite raw and unpolished and could be an acquired taste for most people here.

Vectom were known to be originators of "hyper-speed" metal. that's how Metal Hammer critics have branded them back in the 1985. I dont think they were the fastest band around even at that time, but the name is quite descriptive of what you will get. In general if you like early German speed/thrash like Necronomicon, Darkness, S.D.I. you probably will dig Vectom too.

By the way, I'm almost sold out. I have only like 10-20 copies left, hooray! Plenty of shirts left though Neutral

Sounds like a talented group... just not my cup of tea... I like fast playing---just not speed metal like that... but that's what makes the world go around!

Have the two VECTOM albums on vinyl and love them. If you like VECTOM you like german WARRANT too.

Just keep in mind that I'll be closing the distro on May 9th for quite a long as I'll be going to Europe, yeah!

On other notes, I've almost sorted out the mess the thieving scumbags did in my garage and hopefully should have one last small update by tomorrow evening.

Does anyone know if those two albums that are on the vectom CD being sold at stormspell ever come out on CD when they were originaly released? I kind of want to get the originals if they are out there.
