GUN FOR HIRE

Ok...every day on the way to I stop at the same convnience store and buy a soda, and for the last 6 months Ive gotten to talk to the kid who works that shift and he's an amiable joe....we talked music one day and he says he's in a band...I ask if they have a cd and he says in a few weeks...

Today he gave me their E.P....it's sort of what I expected...nu-flavor metalcoreish....a dash of emo (mainly vocally) BUT man, the riffage is tasty!!! The more I listened the more I dug...And I am ALWAYS happy to support homegrown original metal....

so I'm gonna plug them.

I say if you dig bands like: DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, AS I LAY DYING, GENGHIS TRON, A LIFE ONCE LOST, FANTOMAS or THE LOCUST...or just tasty crazy loud ass music...give these kids a whirl...

i don't really hear the Fantomas, but they sound pretty decent.

I referenced FANTOMAS mainly for the short bursts of guitar noddling oddness, which was prevelent on the FANTOMAS 1st cd.....

But yeah, I actually dig this band and I usually hate everything new...

Don't like the singer but the rest is good.

The music is pretty good.I dont care for the vocals.

Andy....you don't undertand the merit involved in kind words from McSixes up there...He does not dole them out often...

Welcome aboard by the way....we're a pretty cool bunch here....Mostly.

Can't say I dig the vocals all that much, but fantastic riffs. I think it'd sound amazing if the vocals were a bit more Strapping Young Lad-esque.
