Ok, I've been on a real Ozzy kick lately. I remember hearing a pretty cool song by David Benson with his very Ozzyesque voice off his first album but I don't know what it's called. The chorus goes like...

"something something something something something the crooooss
something something died for me and you"
*Guitars cut for one second*
*same rhyming pattern repeats, maybe ending in something like "yeah it's true!"

Any ideas?

The two I mentioned are probably the only ones I would recommend highly, Premonition of Doom being the stronger of the two, IMO. He also did some demos with Mick Rowe of GOLIATH prior to the latter's release of The Gate, and that material (3 tracks) is some of the best stuff either of them has ever done.

I got into DB while I was in my Christian-only/anti-Sabbath phase, so his sound was a nice substitute for my lack of Sab at the time. I totally understand the reasons why some folks aren't fans though. I tend to be a bit more forgiving when it comes to doom artists in the Christian realm, partially because there are just so few, and probably because I feel a certain kinship I guess.
