Down consists of ex Pantera members and other band members like crowbar. They are Doom/ Southern metal as I would consider them to be. Their most recent work is Over the Under.. I bought it the day it was realesed and i was not disapointed some of it does get a bit repetitave. but all in all it is a very decent album and If you like Down and dont own it I would advise you to purchase it.

I like these guys. All 3 of their releases are decent, if you ask me. Which you didn't. But if you did, my response would be the same. Decent.

The first one was a bit of a novelty for me as I was deeply entrenched in COC at the time. But it didn't last long. Never looked any deeper into them.

Anselmo is a terrible vocalist, IMO. I can't stomach his vocals or his insistance on breathing the same air as me.

His vocals on the last one are an improvement over the last 2. He's actually singing instead of his usual hardcore screaming. Some people looked at this as a negative. Not me.

As a person, I can't take much of Phil either, so I don't expect your feelings to change, no matter how much I ridicule you and your opinions.

I agree. I never really grasped why people thought he was so great.

I like some of the stuff off Over the Under.Dont care much for Anselmo though.

I like Nola too, but I didn't feel the need to dig any deeper. I listen to it a fair amount.

I had Nola. It was "good" but didn't hold my interest. I really like Anselmo when he's actually singing, though. I think he's a good vocalist.

I think most people put down Anselmo because he's a prick but when i listen to CFH or Power Metal i know he's a great singer when he wants to be. As far as Down...i think the first album was a classic but the other two are just ok.
