No, but it sounds like something I'd like. Sounds more heavy metal than doomy, not that there's anything wrong with that. I like it either way. Are they new-ish?

It's mostly a load of old punks doing metal and doing it bloody well. A couple of them are also responsible for that awesome Stone Dagger EP and another band that have featured on here but the name escapes me.

I was thinking Michael Kiske sings doom myself, it's good enough to make me want to hear more.

he sounds almost exactly like the guy from Malison Rogue... like i wonder if it's the same guy.

Just looked it up and yep, it is. Sebastian Jansson.

If you like Below, definitely check out Malison Rogue. They've only got one album (from 2011) that's self titled. They're more in the Queensryche vein of things, though.

I vaguely remember these guys. They were probably mentioned in the NWOTHM thread and caught my ear for a spell.

I love that album; I think it was my number 1 album of that year. I know that SpectreFate, if that was the guys username around here (it's been that long), was the only other dude on the board that liked it as much as I did.

I dig both those bands. The singer sounds a lot like Rey Parra from Sacred Warrior as well.

Nice! Never heard of this band before. Just ordered it. Sounds awesome!

Oh yeah dude you won't regret it, it's a killer album all the way through.

More in the stoner rock vein i guess, but does anyone here like Om? I knew about them for a long time and just never got around to them until the other day and I really regret not listening to them sooner. They're led by the bassist from Sleep, Al Cisneros, and they're well worth checking out if you like Sleep, Black Sabbath, and psychedelic/prog rock.

Where do you live in NC Wurthless? If I'm not mistaken Bask is from the Asheville area.

Oh that's wild, after some googling it appears they are. I go to school in Asheville, but I'm from Hickory. I'll have to catch them around here sometime, then.

Two bands I recently got turned onto our Ordos & Camel Driver... They seem "doom-ish" to me, but nowadays there are probably more flavors of doom than Bask Robins has.
