I am going on holiday to Amsterdam on saturday for four days. does anyone have any recommendations about the city at all?

Never been there but I'm told that the (*cough cough*) "Coffee" Shops are a must-visit. Make sure you ask for the "Space Cake."

I'd love to go to Amsterdam! Enjoy The Gooch! Someday my wife and I are going to do some Euro-trips but that time has not yet come.....$$$$$$.

Stay away from the opium dens, they kidnap tourists and steal your kidneys. The call girls on the bottom floors are the cheapest/sleaziest/ugliest. The higher up the floor, the better looking they get. And be sure to check out the medievil tourture museums. Great place to meet chicks.

Cool city - you can check out the anne frank house, get some off the deep fried doughnut balls, tour the heinekin brewery and take a look at the red light district - you have to see it to belive it. It's called "window shopping", complete with signs "americans - no pictures".

I'm probably one of the few people (other than my wife) who went to Amsterdam and could pass a drug test the next day!

These are some solid suggestions for a less druggy trip, also you could check out the replica of a 17th century ship of the VOC, and the museum of art, which has "The Nightwatch"

Personally though, I reccomend eating the cake Very Happy

And seriously, visit some other cities besides Amsterdam, you can see some really interesting architecture...
