| I've always thought it was Overkill but on the albums, the logo looks like it says Over Kill | |

That is exactly what I thought too!! I was doing my write-up for the "ReliXIV" album for Metal Metropolis today, and it hit me: I always write Overkill, but all the albums, and logos say Over Kill... _________________ | |

| the definition of the word "overkill" is the same as they've used on album sleeves & t-shirts. the individual words over & kill wouldn't really make much sense. so i'm guessing it's the former rather than latter.
i wouldn't go by how they present their logo. hell, one of the e's in Nevermores logo is backwards, but it doesn't change the name. _________________

Check the spines of the CDs. One word.
Also, if you read the band's biography on their own WreckingCrew.com, it reads Overkill.

Now that I've seen Rat Skates' BORN IN THE BASEMENT DVD I finally *do* understand why Overkill's logo always looked like two words. In the very early days of the band, the "official" Overkill logo (designed by Rat) had a cross in the center (between the "Over" and the "Kill") surrounded by lightning bolts (or something similarly cheesy, haha). As time went on they dropped the cross out of the center but never re-designed the logo to "connect" the two halves of the word. | |
