I feel for you Dallas. I used to get them a lot when I was younger. They seemed to be stress related mainly. Today I'll get a mild one from long car trips. The worst one ever though was two years ago when I kicked the life long caffeine addiction. Two days of the most intense migraines I ever had.

I fear the migranes I will get when (if) I start detoxifying myself of caffine. My caffine addiction is a main reason I believe I get these. If I don't have enough caffine, they start appearing.

That one I can relate to.

On weekends, if I try to sleep past 6am, my caffeine addiction kicks in. By the time I get up (usually around 7:30), I have a miserable, splitting headache. Twenty minutes after drinking my 6 cups of coffee, I'm fine.

Definitely a caffeine addict here.

If you're going to try to get off caffeine make sure you do it when you have a few days where you can lay in bed. It is a real killer. The other bad thing about it was there was a few weeks there where I felt chemically out of whack. It really is detoxing. I think the thing that has kept me off caffeine is just thinking how painful that was. Plus I've ended up saving a lot of money with no sodas.

From about age seven till 33 I drank Mountain Dew all day. It was almost intravenous. Eventually I weened down to four or five cans a day. Even that was rough.

Oh, I understand that. I would never attempt to wean myself off of caffine until I actually have a vacation in which to recupeerate myself (I won't get any vacation until next spring and by then I'll be in school so it will probably be a few years before I ever get around to doing it).
