| I don't know if I should put this on the metal board, but I will, since it's all about metal for me. Right now it's after midnight, I'm alone at work shoveling snow. Wind Chills gusting up to -40 F, blowing snow. The thing that gets me through this is Scandinavian (mostly) Power/Symphonic/Prog/melodic/traditional metal. More commonly known as "the music SAHB always calls by the wrong genre label". Anyway, I might not know what to call it, but nights like this are what it's for! Valhalla! Is there any sort of music that you tend to listen to during certain seasons, times of day, when you're having your period, have run out of Valium or whatever? Mood music? | |

night time always brings out the grindcore & death metal in me. Nighttime (sleepytime) I like Dead Can Dance and that sort of thing. Aeva Daeveda(sic?) lately. Sunny days I go with Legs Diamond or Y & T.

| I tend to listen to more Thrash during colder weather (autumn/winter) and more goofy hair metal and power metal during the summer time. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Y&T'S Contagious was my summertime soundtrack for a long time. That kind of rock is always good on sunny days. Rainy days makes me want to listen to old Alice or King Diamond. But here in Florida we have 2 kinds of weather. Hot and hotter. Not much change. I desperately miss seasons. |

| A sleepy rainy day always gets me in the mood for some Jimi Hendrix, particularly "Electric Ladyland". _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Most of my music listening happens during the day at work. If im in a bad mood I tend to listen to Slayer or Machine Head. If im in a good mood, its nice out and I can have my windows open in my car i'll blast Helloween. If its rainy I usually pick the more mellower stuff. Mostly something thats not even metal. Around Halloween I like to listen to King Diamond, Alice Cooper. Christmas I usually like to listen to actual Christmas songs, but nothing new it has to be the classic stuff. Throughout the Summer I mostly listen to Power Metal. | |

FAAAAAAAAARRRRR OUT Snowy weather seems to bring out the death/darker side! I dig some Impending Doom and From The Shallows the last couple weeks in the snow and ice.

| Can't say I listen to any particular music in certain weather. However, many albums when I listen to them recall what the weather was like when I first heard it. King Diamond-Abigail I first listened to in a dark room during a thunderstorm. Sentenced-Amok, Paradise Lost-Draconian Times, Queensryche-Empire, Bruce Dickinson-Tatooed Millionare, and Dream Theater-Images and Words I first listend to in the summer when the weather was in the upper 90s and it was bright and sunny (great, now I'm longing for the summer days of my teenage years). Night Ranger-Greatest hits I remember listening to in the fall with leaves on the ground and a cool wind while running laps in my back yard (I was in wrestling but had ring worm so I wasn't allowed in practice and had to keep up my stamina elsewhere). Iron Maiden reminds me of overcast skies (no rain) with warm weather. Most other stuff reminds me of certain time periods in my life and I can't recalll any albums that remind me of spring or winter at this time. | |

| I don't base any music on whether I will listen to it or not based on the weather, its all how I am feeling personally. Lately its been full on anger so its been a lot of really angry music! | |

| Weather doesn't usually affect what I listen to. It's usually my overall mood. But occasionally if it's raining I'll listen to something kind of moody sounding. | |

| Well its 40 Celsius down here in Oz or 104 F for all you septic tanks, so the Cult's Electric, the Four Horsemen, Circus Of Power and Kings Of The Sun get good airtime with me. And those long hot summer nights usually bring out the drinking music so stuff like the Faces, Dogs D'Amour, The Jacobites, Tom Waits etc. Anything thats melancholic and alcoholic. | |

Scott, this is my favorite album of all time. Way too many classics, and I can see why it's a rainy day album. For some reason, whenever it rains in LA, which is pretty rare, I always put on Mortification's "Brain Cleaner." I have no idea why. It still puzzles me why I get the urge to put that on and not others.

| For me there is no connection between weather and music. I listen to whatever I'm in the mood. But this can change immediatly from minute to minute. So for example I can listen to Foreigner followed by Slayer followed by Uriah Heep and then followed by Arch Enemy. | |
