Apologies From A "Goof"

A member of HOM who I will not mention (I have severed ties with him) has accused me of being a "goof" however, it would better to be said that I have been too defensive. Due to a spiritual struggle I can't share and some little things here and there the filter I usually use to avoid conflict with others got shut down.

I hate dessention and I try to avoid conflict whenever possible (this is one reason I have trouble sharing my faith with others and choose to take the gentle approach) and I failed miserably today. I don't apologize for my beliefs, If I did I would be a hypocrite and that is one thing I refuse to be, but I am usually better about toning them down. I want everyone here (including those who don't like me) to understand that I love being a member and conversing with you guys and hate to have any tension between us. I love the diversity among us and would hate to lose this forum (I thank God for everyday I can be here).

I know it may be hard but please try to think better of me, I am not a bad person. If my filter ever breaks down again I hope people will do the right thing and ignore me. The best thing to do with someone who rouses you is to ignore them (I guess I should take my own advise on that). Administators if you feel I am getting too big for my britches please let me know.

I got overzealous in defending some music I love and I made the mistake of getting slightly political with my thoughts on Kid Rock. While the last part only ruffled the feathers of a few, me getting defensive for some of my favortie muisc rubbed everybody the wrong way. I feel I was taking it too personal and letting my feelings get the best of me, "goof" was a term used by another member to describe my behaviour. It is for that defensiveness that I have apologized. I'm just too opinionated sometimes and I've tried to keep that side of me out of here but the other day the filter in my head was defective.

ah, i see. political opinion seems to be a big disagreement between american ppls. us british just moan moan about tony blair, then moan about gordon brown, then moan about the fact that he didn't call an election, even tho most of us would have voted for him anyway. then moan about the weather, then when it is hot, moan coz its too hot, then moan moan moan etc etc etc you get the point

i think you americans have a lot of patriosims. which is not great when you consider how are politicians sold us out to washington AFTER you yankies fought a war against us. Never mind the british empire wil rise again one day ha hah ah ah a hah
