Savatage - Live in New Jersey 20-4-2001

Well I don't know if anyone here is interested in this (although there is a big 'tage following on this board) but I have uploaded the 2CD show from "the Birch Hill" in Old Bridge, New Jersey on April 20th, 2001.

Here is the links and there is a password on them (the PW is locky) I've had this CD (and others like it) for years now and I don't think I'm commiting any crime since they are not offical (but someone will probably tell me otherwise).

I'll post a link the the artwork after I upload them to photbucket if anyone wants them ?.

Sweeeeeeeet... I remember wanting to go to this show like crazy but if memory serves I had a wedding to go to that weekend.

The Birch Hill was a great club, I went there a bunch of times throughout the 90s, saw a lot of great bands. Sadly, it's been torn down and now there's a block of senior citizen apartments where it used to stand...

I've never actually heard Damon before, but it doesn't quite sound like Zak to me. I would guess Damon (and Jon, of course).

Yes, this was with Damon (or was it "Damond?") Jiniya on vocals.

I'm glad to finally check this out cuz I never heard 'Tage with him singing... Jon O. did the vox on the POETS album, of course, then Damond did the tour with him (which I never got to see) and then Savatage went on ice immediately thereafter. So Damon was like the "lost Savatage singer" to me...

Once the TSO $$ started coming in, 'Tage hit the showers...

I get the feeling that one day there may be some sort of "farewell" show or tour w/ a DVD...they'd need to find a way to include everyone..Zak, Damon, Al Pitrelli, Alex Skolnick, Wacholz, Jeff Plate...do like a 2 set show covering all era's....string section...all the trimmings...

Yea, Jon Oliva mentioned something a year or two ago about how he'd like to do one "big finale" Savatage concert and shoot it for a DVD, but there were no concrete plans for anything. I guess with TSO taking up so much of the various members' time, it would be hard to squeeze something like that into the schedule, even if it were just a one-off gig

Who is Savatage?

Are you being serious?

I'll assume so. They are one of the best metal bands of all time, IMO. Started off in the late 70's/early 80's as a traditional American heavy metal band, and gradually morphed into more of a progressive metal band without ever abandoning completely the heaviness. Criss Oliva is one of the truly great guitar players of all time.
