Any fans? I'm kinda of a non-traditional Camel fan, as their "classic" material (Snow Goose, etc.) is a little overwrought for me (with a few exceptions). But I'm that way with most of the classic prog bands (Gentle Giant, Genesis, ELP, etc.).
My fave Genesis CD is Abacab, my fave Gentle Giant is Citizen, and so on. I like the poppy prog that everybody seemed to be making after the success of Alan Parsons and Asia, etc.
So the "sell out era" Camel is what I like most (Single Factor, etc.) and "Stationary Traveler" is one of my top 25 of all time, any genre. But whether you are a fan of either era or both, give us a few words of praise for the genius of Andy Latimer & Co.

I've been meaning to check them out. I have in the last year or so just checked out Gentle Giant and find them to be fantastic and I'm upset at myself for not getting into them sooner, but in my naiveness when I was younger there was only Pink Floyd, Yes, Jethro Tull and Rush for Prog bands, in my mind anyway. Heck! I didn't even realize up until 6 or seven years ago that Genesis had a Prog existence with Peter Gabriel before Phil took over on vocals. I have since opened my mind to other Prog bands, but there is always more.

Anyways, any suggestions for Camel discs, since I would be new to them?

"Snow Goose" is the classic, although as I say I'm more into their poppier 80's stuff. "Echoes" is a nice 2 Disc compilation that is a good overview of Camel, but it might be kinda of hard to find. There are other compliations and live discs (and a DVD) out there as well.
