| Maybe because I've never really been to a concert, but I just don't get that excited about the "prospect" of going to one. Why is that?! I don't know. I would like to go to a concert some day. Like AC/DC, I know Tourniquet are kind of out this way, right? They probably would come somewhere within' shooting range.
I mean, what do you/we do at a concert? I'm 34 years old...would I really go up to the front and mosh? What do you guys generally do at a metal concert? Observe...in your seat, with a brew? I could see doing that. Maybe a cigar....now we're talkin'! Just hangin with friends groovin to live metal?

While that is cool and all, I'd still miss songs from Empire, The Warning and the EP I got to see Stryper for the first time back in 2003, when they did their first reunion tour. It was at a small venue in Poughkeepsie, NY (about 200 or so there). It was awesome as Michael was hitting all the notes, even those high ones, Robert's drumming was great, Tim on bass, and Oz shredding on the guitar. Oh and they did throw Bibles too! Still have mine from the concert. It was cool to see unsaved and saved people singing along with the band. Truly one of the better concerts I got to go too.

I too saw Stryper in 03 as well as a bunch of times back in the day. I was totally impressed by how good they still sound. Too bad I cant say the same about the Reborn release. |

One I still hope to see someday is Ace Frehley doing solo material. Aren't Believer back together? You still have a chance to see them.

Observe...in your seat, with a brew? I could see doing that. Maybe a cigar....now we're talkin'! Just hangin with friends groovin to live metal? Yes! I just stand there and watch. At Dio I was in nebulous row 2 1/2. Wicked Wisdom I was in row 1 1/2 - 2 but for the rest I usually get just behind the moshing and just stand there and watch. Lots of people do it that way. The drinkers do it with a beer in hand. If the venue allows smoking the smokers do it with a beer and a smoke....just standing and maybe bobbing along or banging the head a little but mostly just observing. That's always been my modus operandi. At Sonata Arctica in Sept. I saw and "old"(er) dude dancing quite out of rhythm but dancing none-the-less to SA - fast tunes or not. Just having fun. Be yourself and wear ear protection!!!

I did see all of these bands way back when. I was at a party with Bon & Malcolm after a Day on The green "Monsters Of Rock 5" Bon was so drunk he didn't even know where he was, & 6 months later he was gone, Sad.
