Your Band

How many of you guys got bands? It's pretty hard to get a good band together so I thought I'd ask.

If so, what's your band name and what do you play?

Oh yeah, and are there any tracks recorded yet?

I am in the band Avenger of Blood. I play drums.

Our 2nd full length album "Death Brigade" is on store shelves January 8th.

I'm in a band called Astyanax. We're a 'studio' band, which we don't play concerts quite yet due to sans vocals. We do a lot of experimenting with synths and our instruments. I guess you could label us as progressive. I'll see if I can get a couple songs posted.

I'm in a band. We've been kicking around a few names, but have not
decided on one yet.

I'm in a called Hellfyre. I Play Lead Guitar (and sing at the moment, until we find a permanent singer).

I sing for Ultimatum, a metal band out of New Mexico. We currently have five CDs out. I also use to sing for Once Dead and recorded a live DVD with them titled "Return with a Vengeance".

I play bass in the aforementioned Ultimatum.

I envy you guys. I have a unsatiable desire to be a frontman in a band but just like Megamind said, it's not easy (especially when you have no musician or metal friends). When I was fourteen I did death vocals with some friends who played drums, bass, and guitars for a Middle School graduation party. Nobody came because the popular people (the preps) had one just down the block but we had fun anyways. It was not a proffessional band and we just winged it but I had so much fun (probable one of my greatest memories). One of these days I want it to happen, I NEED it to happen but I need to get out of debt and get some singing lessons because these days I much prefer clean vocals over death. These days I just do some kareokee with my CDs and my microphone or digital recorder when I feel the need to "perform".

I can play a mean rendition of "Master of Puppets" on the kazoo, if anybody's interested in having me perform on their CD just drop me a PM.

($120,000 signing bonus required, can't really tour do to family obligations, although I will also require 30% of all concert/tour revenues, and you will all need to come out to the midwest to record...)

I also know allot of Charlie Daniels songs as well as Hank Jr. I’m sure we can use some of that somewhere!

I'm not kidding either. This kazoo concerto was actually captured on video one drunken night back in college. I live in constant fear that someday the guy who taped it will rediscover it and put it on YouTube.

Been in a few different bands over the years. I just moved again about two years ago, so the one I was in completely disbanded afterwards. I'm keeping the name which is "Bizarre Damage", but I still havent found anyone solid enough to make a band here.

As per my previous statement, I already have an idea for a band. I already have ideas for the sound, song titles, and album names and a band name and have written the lyrics to quite few. If I can only join someone else's band I will be happy but I really want to get together people for my band one of these days. It will be a mish mash of thrash, death, black, power, progressive, goth, and doom. Obviously the lyrics will be from a Christian perspective and I already have a name and logo;

I realize that this seems like a pipe dream (especially considering I'm not in my late teens or early 20s anymore). But I am not one to give up on a dream very easily and, God willing, it will happen.

I'm not in a band at this moment, but a buddy of mine and me are planing on doing a project very soon. I did put out a crappy demo that I wrote and recorded a few years ago under the name Atloton. Not suprising, no one offered me a deal. I would have been happy with a death threat.

No, I found out about the game a little while after I came up with the name. I was actually reading a pretty good book called 'Troy' about ancient Greece and the Prince's son's name is Astyanax.
