Anyone ever heard of this bizarre progressive metal band from Australia? They've been around for many years now and remain largely underrated. They are quite unique, mixing a variety of styles. They play like a death metal infused with prog and goth. Quite good.

Any fans?

Hails........
they're from where I live now!!!

I saw them live in Sydney in 1991 and I can still remember their rendition of 'message in a bottle' by The Police (a favourite of mine!!!!!).

I've never had any of their releases though except their debut demo which I unfortunately traded away about 6 months ago. affraid

I like this band. I have two cds by them Organasm and Austral Alien. I like both discs a good bit.

Great band. Organasm is such a great disc. Thanks for bringing them up, I need to go back and listen to it.

I just picked up a copy of "Austral Alien" at my local Hastings with my Christmas money. I was familiar with them already, having heard them years ago. However, I must say "Austral Alien" is quite impressive.

It's very original. I've not ever heard a metal band like this. It's almost like Slayer meets Rush or something. Heheh. I like it a LOT!

Glad to see there are other fans here. I am going to get all their stuff.

Did you know they just released a brand new album? It's called "Tripsis". I plan on picking this up very soon. It's in the top 5 on my list.

I haven't picked up Tripsis. It's on my long list of wanted cds.

Haven't really been able to get into Tripsis like I did for the prior two albums. Maybe I need to give it time.

I've not heard anything from "Tripsis" yet, but BW&BK magazine gave it a rave review. BW&BK are one of the few mags I really like anymore, but they could be off here too. I think I'll pick up "Tripsis" in January sometime.

Is it more proggy? I hope it's half as good as "Austral Alien" is.
