| Some of it ... Kreator (open air - I've also seen 'em indoor, but it wasn't so good!) Anthrax (twice with Joey Belladonna, once at Gods of Metal festival in the middle of the day - excellent!, then again at Metalcamp as headliners, but it wasn't the same - they're better when the sun is up ) Slayer (Everytime, everywhere, be it indoor, outdoor - Great! (only that gig in Munich, where Araya lost the voice ... )) Darkness (the very last gig!!! Great atmosphere, great set list!) Sepultura (without Igor, without Max - but they ripped! I even got Jairo's signature on my ticket, but it's almost invisible by now ) Kataklysm (contrary to Kreator, they're better indoor - I think that I've seen them for 5 times now, and they're just getting stronger!) Celtic Frost (now this was like some ritual Excellent atmosphere!!!!) Carnivore (Legends!!! Great show!) Mortal Sin (under the tent, filled with old school thrashers ) Metal Inquisitor (same place as Mortal Sin - great show!) Metal Church (freaking amazing - they even came back to play one song from their latest album again - they said that they'll shot a video - anyone knows more about it??) Motorhead (the loudest!! I went to see Delirius after them but I couldn't hear anything for about 10 minutes Also, I've hurted my leg during crowd surfing haha ) Megadeth (indoor, with Mustaine in a very positive mood ... I've also seen 'em outdoor, it was good, but I wasn't THAT impressed (although they played Tornado of Souls that time) Iron Maiden (it's just amazing to see Bruce with his 47 years so hyperactive on the stage) Exodus (with Souza in a very small place! I wasn't that impressed when I saw them with the new singer (short set list as well)) Agent Steel (even in a smaller place, with all Skeptics album (or did they skip 1 song? Can't remember right now...)!!) + More ... | |

| One of the best gigs I saw was Van Halen's Monsters of Rock (supposedly a monetary failure, but I thought it was great). Each act (Kingdom Come,Metallica,Dokken, the Scorpions, & Van Halen) did a full set and did not disappoint. All on a very hot & humid June Day in the old Three Rivers Stadium. | |

| Kings X in DFW back in 02, great show & got to hang with Vinny & Dime & the guys from Drowning Pool, also got to go back to the bus & meet Doug ,Ty & Jerry. Bride at LSUS in 92, my band opened for them & hung out all day, played a great set & have both shows on video. Primus in 03 & 04 Whitecross in the late 80's in DFW Got plenty of autographs from that one Stryper in the late 80's at a local high school Low Gear, Somsara & Big Iron in DFW 2 days after the Kings X show at Curtain Club. Best $5.00 bucks I ever spent. | |

| Some of my favorites: Savatage & Trouble in Sept. 1990 at L'amour in Brooklyn, NY (Savatage were at their peak at the time, touring for GUTTER BALLET, and though I'd never seen Trouble before, I became an instant fan and they've been one of my favorites ever since) The Ramones, Wave Street Cafe, Staten Island, NY in 1988 -I was a freshman in college and this was my first ever show in a small club, it was also my first mosh pit!! Raven & Anvil, Birch Hill Nightclub in Old Bridge, NJ, 1995 - I'd been a Raven fan for over ten years at this time but had never seen them live due to them hardly ever playing shows in the US. To say I completely lost my mind while they played would be putting it mildly. I met John Gallagher before the show and he was a heck of a cool guy too. Overkill/Dark Angel, L'amour in Brooklyn, NY 1990 - One of the best thrash gigs I ever witnessed, bar none. Overkill are one of the finest live acts in the biz Fight/Cathedral, The Fastlane, Asbury Park NJ, 1993 - Rob Halford and about 1000 screaming metal maniacs packed into a shoebox sized club on the Jersey shore. I have never heard Rob in finer voice before or since. Absolutely amazing show!! There are many more that I could mention but I'll let the next guy sound off now... | |

| Too many to remember. But the last 2 Prince tours are #1 & #2 for me. Drop-droppingly good.
a few that snap to mind:
Anthrax - last year with Belladonna and in '86(?) for Spreading the Disease.
Wasp/Metallica/Armored Saint '84
Saxon - Innocence tour and a few years ago with UDO.
Kreator - sometime in the late 80s
King's X - about 12 times in the last 10 years. Can't do a below average show.
Queensryche '05 with Soldierundercommand (finally understand)
Tankard etal with Sideshow last year
Dayglo Abortions and Raw Power - together in "the entry" in '86 and then again last summer (Dayglos in Winnipeg and Wop Hour in Portland - what a great summer!)
local favs that I saw a ton and provided a ton of memories in the 80's: Powermad, Impaler, Kublai Khan, Slave Raider, Regime, Animosity, Soul Asylum, Bob Mould, Gemini, Hurricane Alice, etc) |

Where are you at in NJ, FAHB? I'm in West Milford, up near the NY State border, but I grew up in Paramus and I lived on Staten Island for four years when I attended college, so I pretty much lived in the clubs in and around New York and New Jersey for most of the late 80s/early 90s. Those were the days. I'm semi-retired from concerts nowadays though...the last show I saw was Iron Maiden at the Meadowlands Arena back in October, and that was my first concert in over four years, since an Iced Earth/In Flames/Jag Panzer show (@ the Troc in Philadelphia) in early 2002... after all these years I've pretty much seen everybody I want to see at least once!! | |

| Bride/Stryper - I think it was in 1991-92 Kinetic Faith tour....Dale sang a few with Stryper...it was VERY cool I've seen Bride 6 times (all in the Kinetic Faith/Snakes/Scarecrow era) and they NEVER failed to put on a 10/10 show. Best lives shows I've ever seen. Dio/Fireball Ministry/Phantom X - Gypsy Tea Ballroom Deep Ellum, TX 10-21-04. This was a great! show! The two openers actually showed up the little guy! Whiteheart - Freedom tour - Cincinnati, OH (CBC Campus) VERY cool for non-metal. Very high energy. More "metal" sounding in concert... Wicked Wisdom - Dec 9, 2005 - Abilene, TX this was surprising... the smokingly hot Jada Pinkett Smith puts on a ridiculous show. She has more energy than any heavy metal front (person) I've ever seen. The music was HEAVY...just HEAVY...her live vocals need some practice, but I was pleasantly surprised... Other good ones.... Dragonforce - Ft. Worth, TX July, 2006 Not bad at all...did a pretty good job of pulling off the speed and wankery live! High energy, lots of fun, fan involvement! Whitecross - Canton, OH Tourniquet - Kings Place - Reynoldsburg, OH - Vanishing Lessons I can't remember all I've seen...hmmm...gonna have to ruminate on this one | |
