Anybody here besides me a fan of good movie scores (I'm talking about origional scores not various artists soundtracks)? My favortie has to be without a doubt Dune by Toto, one of the greatest soundtracks ever (Who would have thought that a band like Toto could write a masterpiece like that. I like some of their music but none of it compares to that one). Probably my second favortie is a tie between the origional Star Wars soundtracks and The Lord Of The Rings soundtracks. Secret of NIMH has the best soundtrack to any cartoon movie ever and is probably my third favorite. Willow-another fine piece of musical brilliance as is the score for Braveheart.

I'm a big fan and collect dramatic/symphony soundtracks.
My two favorite composers are Gerry Goldsmith (Rudy, Hoosiers, Air
Force One etc..) and Hans Zimmer (Crimson Tide, Gladiator and many
more). National Treasure is another really good one I have, its got the
drama symphony, fused with that higher tempo drums/pop beat. Very cool
and different. Irobot same thing. BATMAN BEGINS by Hans Zimmer is one
of the best I've gotten in YEARS.

Jerry Golsmith did the Secret Of NIMH soundtrack and I like Hans' Gladiator and Pirates Of The Carrabean (sic) scores. James Horner is also pretty good. He did the ones for Willow, Braveheart, and Ransom, among others.

Another one I can listen to alot is Bram's Stoker's Dracula by Wojciech Kilar (had to search for that guy's name).

It's a very low key score, but most excellent. (Wyld Stallions)
