MALLET HEAD

OK, I just scored their 1st CD for few bucks on the ebay, and it said "This is the 1988 release from USA thrashy
punk (nearly hardcore) dudes Mallet Head - 12 songs - heavy stuff and
pretty hard to find on CD" and I also found this information on the internet:

bass-wielding brother Glen took a decisive step across the metal line
and formed Mallet-Head with singer Morgan Keating and a drummer. Buoyed
by Chuck's effective production and the occasionally clever lyrics ("It

crisp and economical speed metal that makes its entrance with a brief
dub reggae instrumental. (The cassette adds two bonus tracks.)"

(What the hell is economical speed metal?!?!?)

Its's available on vibrations of doom but I don't think that I even want to check those due to its extremely low quality ...

... so, anyone with more info about this band?

I love Gang Green, but this is one horrible album!

Really? Sax...I kinda dig it....It's is not at all like that blurb described it...it almost has a CULT type rawk & roll vibe...more hard rock/metal than anything punk or heavy...

I received a copy in the mail today. Will check it out. (Thanks Shiney).

I got my CD today (s/t debut), I don't really know what to think
It's definitely not thrash, more of a heavy metal album with even some
glam parts thrown in??!

Maybe I'll consider it trading, if you can come up with some good old thrash
CD is in perfect condition (it seems new)

Reminds me of The Cult a bit. Don't hear any glam. Perhaps just some good 'ol, raunchy rock and roll.
