Anybody here into this band? For some reason I always wanted to check them out - but never did end up with any of their stuff. I know they only released two albums, but I hear they were pretty good. I love that 80s power metal sound.
Are they worth checking out? I just read online that their two albums have been reissued back in 2000 or something. Perhaps I'll pick them up. I want to hear from somebody that's it's worth it though ...

Absolutely! I have both albums (ARTCH on cassette and CD, and For the Sake of Mankind on cassette) and truly love the first one. So underrated.

I'm from the south-east part of Norway. The town is called Sarpsborg, and is under 100 kilometers south-east of Oslo (the capitol), near the Swedish border.

Dunno if you've listened to their music by now, however I thought I could give you links to the lead vocal Eric Hawk's homepage: www.eirikur.info There's a link there to his official MySpace and Facebook where you can listen to Artch tracks and more, and he's also selling the Artch DVD there. I bought it, and love it as I was on one of the concerts in the DVD. Awesome vocal, and still strong after all these years on the road. I love Artch, but also find Drýsill a worth of listening to.

Which concert did you attend? I was at the 1993 concert, and have seen just about every "reunion" concert they've done too.
The DVD id GREAT, but it is in PAL format, so it won't run on some USA DVD players. Should be fine on any 'puter though....

Both Artch albums are great. Their first being sightly better than the second. Both are well worth picking up. Very underrated band!

Just scored a used copy of Another Return to Church Hill this afternoon. Artch is one of those bands I've always heard/read much about but never actually heard. I gave the first few tracks a listen on my ride home and it sounds pretty damn promising...
